My name is Alastair and I am a modern-day pilgrim. I followed the way taken by pilgrims in medieval times. I have a passport, shell and pilgrim badge to prove it and photographs to show you on this blog. The idea to do a pilgrimage may have started when I read the Pilgrims Progress and visited John Bunyan’s birthplace.

But the pilgrims way went back to medieval times. I will look backwards in history in this blog and then walk forward to Canterbury.
